Zeeland, Michigan high school gets ipads
To be honest i think burlington is doing a better job using the ipads better than Zeeland high school. Burlington high school is able to track the internet use not matter where you are while Zeeland can only track the internet use while kids are in school. Burlington students will be more protected from seeing inappropriate internet content or running into trouble. Also i think Burlington does a better job of allowing the students to use the ipads to do their homework. Zeeland students have to print out the homework and leave the ipads in school. Many burlington teacher have the students just do the homework on the ipad. We may do somethings better than them but Zeeland AND Burlington are still both ahead of many schools with technology.

Social chatter and college
Colleges now look at social networks to see everything that applicants and students post. Is this a good thing or bad thing for a student today? students need to be extra cautious about what they post and how they post it. A student may say why they like or don't like a college which could help the school find the best fit applicants for there school. This ability may be good an bad for students. Schools may be more interested in a student when they find out what they post and find out more about them. however, a school my also not like what the student posts and not think they are a good fit to their school. Major creeping or a new way to find good applicants?

This class is very fun so far. we made a video about how some classes are outdated while others are very high tech. We made the video t try and show teachers that they should use the technology at hand and not make class boring. i think it is a good video.
